Contracted COVID-19 last month, still no longer had the strength to continue drawing

The official X account (formerly Twitter) of Take's Uzaki-chan wants to hang out! (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) announced on Thursday that while the manga was originally scheduled to have a new chapter this month, the manga is currently on hiatus due to the author's health.
Take diagnosed contracted COVID-19 last month. Let's declared on Friday that they may continue to suffer the consequences of their illness, adding that while they have recovered physically, they no longer have the strength to paint.
Take further explained that although they still drew every day, the images were “weak” and they were very nervous and worried about when they could fully return to drawing manga again. Take said they don't think they can continue drawing manga at their current pace.
Take launched the manga in Niconico in December 2017 as part of the Dra Dra Sharp# franchise. Chapter 111 of the manga debut on May 10 after being delayed from May 2. The manga's 12th volume will still be released and will be published on July 9 as planned.

The first season of the television anime adapted from the manga premiered in Japan in July 2020 and aired 12 episodes. Funimation aired the season when it aired in Japan. The second season of the anime premiered in October 2022 with the title Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! ω and has aired 13 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
