Season 2 of the anime reboot Urusei Yatsura has released a new trailer ahead of the second season's premiere on April 11. The anime began airing in January and has aired 12 episodes so far. MAISONdes once again performed theme songs. The ending theme song is titled “Harumoi”, while details about the opening theme will be revealed on the broadcast date.
Studio David Production is producing the animation for the new adaptation of the iconic manga. The first season of the series aired in two installments: the first season from October to December 2022 while the second season aired from January to March 2023. HIDIVE is streaming the anime. Urusei Yatsura is based on a romantic comedy manga series by Rumiko Takahashi, serialized from September 1978 to February 1987. The first anime adaptation had 195 episodes and aired from October 1981 to March in 1986. The film was animated by Studio DEEN and Pierrot.
Viz Media is publishing the Urusei Yatsura manga in English and describes the plot as follows: In a high-stakes game of tag, Ataru must touch Lum's horn in ten days—or the aliens will Take over the earth! The fact that Lum can fly doesn't make Ataru's job any easier. As it turns out, the game of tag is just the beginning of Ataru's troubles, as he continues to attract strange encounters with otherworldly creatures such as the beautiful snow spirit Oyuki and the goblin princess sexy crow Kurama!
