The official Twitter account for the Universal Studios Japan theme park announced on Friday that the new area based on the Donkey Kong Country series for the park's Super Nintendo World has been delayed from spring 2024 to mid-2024. year end of 2024. Universal Studios Japan's Super Nintendo World area officially opened in March 2021. The park initially planned to open this area at the end of July 2020, in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but delayed the opening to prevent crowding, as a response to Covid-19. Universal Studios' Epic Universe theme park in Orlando is expected to open in early 2025. Epic Universe is expected to include Super Nintendo World.
