The Blue Wolves of Mibu, a historical manga series by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, is being adapted into an anime. MAHO FILM is animating this film under the direction of Kumiko Habara. An announcement video and images were released as part of the announcement.

The Blue Wolves of Mibu – Anime adaptation announcement video
Kenta Ihara is writing the series, while Yuko Ooba and Miyako Nishida are designing the characters. Yuki Hayashi will compose the music. Toshiki Kameyama is the sound director. No details about the cast have been announced at the time of this writing.
Tsuyoshi Yasuda’s Blue Wolves of Mibu manga has been serialized by Weekly Shonen Magazine since October 2021. Kodansha USA recently announced that the manga has been released bee licensed in English and will be published. released in spring 2024. The plot is described as:
Nio is an orphan who can’t help but dream of a better world. In this action-packed manga, he meets two men who show him how much just a few swords can change history.
This gripping samurai series from the acclaimed author of Days shares a setting with Rurouni Kenshin and chronicles the founding of the Shinsengumi by handsome and volatile men fighting for justice…and themselves!
Tsuyoshi Yasuda is known for other manga titles such as Days and Over Drive. Days received an anime adaptation by MAPPA, airing 24 episodes from July to December 2016. Meanwhile, Over Drive received an anime adaptation by studio Xebec, airing from April to September 2007 with 26 episodes. Yasuda is also the author of the manga InspiRED, a collaboration between Kodansha and professional football club Liverpool FC.
