Natsume's Friend Diary Season 7 anime has revealed a new short trailer ahead of its October 7 premiere. Crunchyroll will stream the anime outside of Japan. You can watch the video on their official YouTube channel or on their X (formerly Twitter) account below.

The anime previously revealed a key trailer and visual. Hinata Kashiwagi performs the opening theme song “Alca,” while Toshiki Kondo performs the ending theme song “Komari Warai.” Studio Shuka is producing the animation, with Takahiro Omori (seasons 1–4) returning as chief director. Natsume's Book of Friends is a Japanese manga series by Yuki Midorikawa. It was serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa DX from June 2003 to April 2008 before moving to LaLa in 2007. It has released 31 volumes as of September 5, 2024. Viz Media has licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll describes the story:
Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, something he has long kept a secret. However, when he inherits a strange book that belonged to his late grandmother, Reiko, he discovers why the spirits surround him.
To date, the anime adaptation has had six television anime seasons, with the last airing back in 2017. The anime's directors include Takahiro Omori (seasons 1–4) and Kotomi Deai (seasons 5–6). Studios Brain's Base (seasons 1–4) and Shuka (seasons 5–6) animated the series. The franchise has also spawned two films and several OVAs.
