Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures describes the story:
It was a time of war, where non-stop battles took place between human and demihuman tribes such as Ash Monkeys (Macaques) and pigmen (Ogres) invading human lands.
Kai, a boy from Rag village, spends his days immersed in battle to protect his village.Amidst the harsh battles waged by those possessing great power called “guardians,” and as his comrades fell one by one, Kai suddenly recalled memories that should have been he should not experience—memories of a world with advanced technology and knowledge of human life beyond this world.
And so, even though Kai is just a villager, he soon finds himself drawn into great challenges…
A wonderful fantasy story unfolds, chronicling the struggles and growth of a single boy in a harsh world.
