First released in 1984, the Transformers franchise has achieved huge success across generations. Now, Hasbro is celebrating the brand's latest milestone with a collectible coin that's worth more than meets the eye.
Through Geek Culture, to celebrate 40 years of robots in disguise, the toy company's two Asian branches are giving fans a priceless artifact. While it may not be the Matrix of Leadership, it's certainly worthy of anyone's collection, whether Autobot or Decepticon. While it may require spending a little money, this fan-oriented item is the right of all beings.

Hasbro Singapore and Malaysia create special commemorative Transformers coin
Hasbro Malaysia and Hasbro Singapore are now offering exclusive Transformers experiences that die-hard fans are sure to appreciate. A limited edition Transformers 40th Anniversary coin set is now available to collectors, although getting one will require a pretty hefty purchase; To earn their own Coin Set, fans will have to purchase a minimum of $100 worth of Transformers toys from a retailer in those countries. This can range from figures from the Transformers: Legacy toy line to action figures for the upcoming animated film, Transformers One. These purchases will then be combined with a commemorative coin (while supplies last) that separates the Autobot and Decepticon icons.
The other side of the coin features the classic statements “more than meets the eye” and “until all is one,” a reference to the series' tagline and the iconic phrase first uttered in 1986's The Transformers: The Movie. Encased in a deluxe box, the coin will also come with a printed tag denoting its authenticity. However, supplies are limited so fans in these regions or international customers will need to hit the market and place their orders. With only 5,000 coins available, these coins are worth a block of energy.

Originally derived from the Diaclone and Microchange action figures, the classic Generation 1 Transformers line comes in three main forms.
