The Tower of God anime is continuing the Workshop Battle arc, which is set to premiere on October 6 on Crunchyroll. K-pop band Stray Kids, who performed the first season's theme songs, will return for both the opening and ending sequences. A brief teaser video was shared on social media and Crunchyroll's Emotion Label channel:
According to STRAY KIDS, the songs were written with Bam in mind. The theme songs for the first season are titled “TOP” and “SLUMP”.
The first part of the second season will cover The Return of the Prince arc, which began on July 7. Episode 10 premiered earlier today. Answer Studio is animating the second season, taking over from Telecom Animation Film, which animated the first season. Akira Suzuki is directing The Return of the Prince, with Erika Yoshida composing the series. Isamitsu Kashima, Seigo Kitazawa, and Miho Tanino are designing the characters. Kevin Penkin is once again composing the music.
SIU's Tower of God began serialization in 2010 on Naver's Webtoon platform and has since received a print run by Young Com. The manhwa is available in English on Line Webtoon.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as follows:
Reach the top and everything will be yours. At the top of the tower is everything in the world and it can all be yours. You can become a god. This is the story of the beginning and the end of Rachel, the girl who climbed the tower to see the stars, and Bam, the boy who wanted nothing but her.
