Naruto creator realized that he may have gone a little overboard when creating one of the great techniques in his ninja story. In an interview, even Kishimoto admitted that maybe it wasn’t the best idea.
In a conversation with Fuji TV in 2015, Kishimoto talked about some of the things he created in the story. And when it came to whether the author thought he had gone too far with something, Kishimoto replied frankly: “I put all my strength into this!”
The ultimate technique that Kishimoto regretted “passing” on to Naruto
According to Kishimoto, immediately introducing Shadow Clone Jutsu, or Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, into Naruto’s repertoire was one of the worst things he did.
The first reason is because Naruto became too strong. This technique was advanced and Naruto until then was a nobody. Kishimoto then revealed that he had to control the use of this power. Another problem revealed was that he had to draw too many clones in the manga, which was a real headache.
When performing Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, the user will create one or more clones of themselves. The special thing is that the clones can completely affect other objects and people, just like a real living body.
So much so that for every copy that appeared, Kishimoto had to write it down on paper. And as Naruto gets stronger, he can create more clones. Imagine the drawing job included not just half a dozen but hundreds of Narutos invading the scene. Ultimately, the balance of power is a concern, but the real pain is having to redesign the same character over and over again.
Although this technique took Kishimoto a lot of effort and was perhaps a bit complicated, it cannot be denied that it contributed significantly to Naruto’s success.
