Marketing research company Video Research Ltd has revealed the top five most-watched anime to air in Japan in the first half of 2023, with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc impressively topping the list.

Final episode of Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village The arc aired on June 18 on Fuji TV Network, attracting an average viewership of 15.408 million and total views of 22.87 million. Demon Slayer also earned second place with Fuji TV’s seventh Premium Special Edit Edition; Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc pulled in a viewership of 10.311 million, reaching 22.51 million when it aired on April 8. Nippon TV prevented Fuji from sweeping the top 5 as Sazae-san drew 9.956 million viewers viewing on February 12, reaching 9.956 million viewers on February 12. 14.34 million viewers.
Finally in the top 5 are Fuji TV Network’s Detective Conan and Chibi Maruko-chan in fourth and fifth place respectively. Detective Conan brought in 6.993 million viewers on April 15 and reached 11.37 million. Chibi Maruko-chan also achieved similar results, with 6.637 million people watching the anime, reaching a total of 10.66 million viewers. The Demon Slayer’s Arcade arc comes to Toonami
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s latest season will come to international television audiences on Toonami on January 13, 2024, with the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account making the announcement on the 18th. November Entertainment District Arc will cover the second part of Demon Slayer Season 2, which premiered from October 2021 to February 2022, immediately following the Mugen Train Arc.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc.
