Ragdoll’s Search Quirk gives All for One the ability to track and defeat heroes by learning their weaknesses, completely changing the outcome of future installments. Gaining Ragdoll’s powers is one of All for One’s most powerful strategic moves, allowing him to interrupt combat and evade capture. The heroes’ failure to protect Ragdoll allowed All for One to successfully steal her Quirk, shaping the plot of My Hero Academia and demonstrating the dangers of non-combat Quirks.
The power of one My Hero Academy pro became one of the villain’s most valuable abilities, and as a result, their acquisition of this skill completely changed the outcome of many later seasons.
In the Forest Training Camp arc, the villains actually have two goals: one is to kidnap Bakugo, in the hope that they can convince him to become a villain, and the second is to kidnap the Hero. professionally known as Ragdoll. Ragdoll possesses the ability to Search, allowing her to detect up to 100 different people, as well as their locations and weaknesses, from many miles away. During the incident at the training camp, Ragdoll used this Quirk to help track the students… until she lost consciousness and was taken to All for One’s base, where he proceeded to steal her Quirk for only me.
Ragdoll’s quest quirk changed the game all for one
All for One has clearly been eyeing this Quirk for quite some time, but he has good reason to wait. Quirk not only follows people, but also stores data about people it has followed in the past, making it easy to follow them again. By waiting until training camp, All for One pre-programmed their Quirk to monitor every student in Classes 1-A and 1-B, as well as all of their teachers. Ragdoll probably also had data on hundreds of other people, possibly including many professionals she had worked with in the past. With this Quirk, All for One not only easily evades the heroes hunting him, but can also defeat them completely by learning their weaknesses.
In fact, it was because of this stolen Search ability that Midoriya had to leave UA in the Dark Deku arc. All for One was definitely using his Quirk to track Midoriya’s location, so he needed to keep moving to avoid causing trouble to any location. The Search Quirk was even implemented in the Final War arc, allowing All for One to enter Shigaraki and Deku’s battle and accelerate in that direction to break it up. Obtaining this Quirk from Ragdoll is one of All for One’s most powerful strategic moves, and he knows exactly how best to use this Quirk.
Unfortunately, the heroes at the time during the Forest Training Camp arc had no way of knowing that Ragdoll was the target, and thus were unable to protect her in any meaningful way. While they were able to deduce that the students (or at least some of them) were the target, Ragdoll simply disappeared and was only later recovered around the same time as Bakugo. If Ragdoll had somehow avoided capture, events from this point forward would have played out completely differently. My Hero AcademyIts plot is surprisingly shaped by this stolen Quirk, proving just how dangerous All for One can be even with a non-combat Quirk.
