The official website for the television anime adaptation of Moto'o Nakanishi's Sword of the Demon Hunter Kijin Gentosho novel series revealed on Thursday that the anime will premiere on June 27 with a one-hour special episode . The series will air on Tokyo MX, MBS and BS-Fuji.
The website also revealed the new key visual and two other actors.

The anime stars Taku Yashiro as Jinta, Reina Ueda as Suzune and Saori Hayami as Shirayuki.
Kazuya Aiura (Assassins Pride, Hori-san to Miyamura-kun (OAV) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Deko Akao (Assassins Pride, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Noragami) is supervising the script, Taro Ikegami (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) ) is designing the characters, and Ryuuichi Takada, Keiichi Hirokawa and Kuniyuki Takahashi from MONACA are composing the music.
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing both the novel and manga adaptation in English, and describes the story:
In the Edo period, young Jinta and his sister must flee their home, finding refuge in a mountain village. Years later, Jinta has become a skilled swordsman, vowing to protect the priestess of the village temple. Tasked with destroying the demon that threatens the temple, Jinta faces off against an evil creature in the forest only to learn a shocking truth. The Demon tells of events one hundred and seventy years later, when Jinta must confront the demon in the future. Thus begins an epic fantasy journey spanning multiple eras as Jinta hunts a demon through time and must face his own dark nature.
Nakanishi published the first novel collection, titled Suihō no Hibi (Days of Nothing), in June 2019 with art by Tamaki. The 14th and final volume of the series was published in November 2023.
Futabasha published the first compiled book volume of the manga adaptation of Yu Satomi's novel in September 2021, and the sixth volume was published on February 29. The manga will launch in February 2021. in magazine Monthly Action magazine.
