The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 television anime production staff announced on Wednesday that the season will premiere on October 6 at 9:00 p.m. JST on AT-X before airing on other stations.
The anime had its world premiere at the previous Anime Expo on July 3. The anime is also holding premiere screenings during its world tour in Paris and Austin in July; in Mannheim, Germany and Toronto in August; and then Tokyo with the cast on October 1.
Hitoshi Haga, who wrote five episodes and directed four from the anime’s first season, is the new director of the third season. He is the third director of the series after Takao Abo in the first season and Masato Jinbo in the second season. Keigo Koyanagi continues to write and supervise the series’ scripts. Kevin Penkin also returns as music and Kinema Citrus returns as animation producer. Franziska van Wulfen and Sana Komatsu and Masahiro Suwa designed the characters, and previous seasons’ animation director Kōta Sera is now credited as a design collaborator.
MADKID performed the third season opening theme song “SIN.” Chiai Fujikawa performed the ending theme song “Suki ni Natte wa Ikenai Riyū” (The Reason I Can’t Love You). Both artists return from both previous anime seasons.
