To Be Hero X represents a co-production between Aniplex and Chinese streaming giant Bilibili. Anime debuts brand new trailer and visuals ahead of release date TBA.

Fans may remember fellow Chinese work The Daily Life of The Immortal King Part 2, and Bilibili was similarly experimenting with this effect. To Be Hero X continues director Haolin’s trend of writing and directing original anime. Before Link Click’s well-received second season, he developed the To Be Hero X prequel series, To Be Hero, and its successor, To Be Heroine.
Bilibili’s ongoing partnership with Japanese anime is expected to grow in the coming years after agreeing a deal with Fuji TV. As reported by Oricon, the partnership will see both parties “stream each other’s content,” “collaborate on production using their respective IPs,” and “grow the business of them in a three-way way, including the joint development of new IP.”
