The Pokémon anime introduced an element that would change the game forever

Warning: Pokémon Reveal: Aim to Be a Master, episode 4If there’s something that fans of Pokémon always wanted, it was a way to make their Pokémon more unique, with customization and costumes. A recent episode of the anime even revealed that Pokémon have their own fashion sense. The idea of dressing up Pokémon itself isn’t new; Pokémon anime often use accessories as a way to distinguish an important Pokémon, dating back to the time when Ash’s Butterfree wore a scarf. Even wild Pokémon sometimes get in on the action, such as Ash’s Primeape, which frequently steals his hat. What may not have been seen before, however, is that the Pokémon decorates itself with objects created by the Pokémon.

In the fourth episode of the miniseries Pokémon: Aim to Be A Master, Ash helps a Beartic who has trouble controlling his ice powers. One of the tasks he gave it to help develop control was to use its powers to create a replica of Oshawott’s razor, a seashell worn by all Oshawotts. can be used as a weapon. Towards the end of the episode, Beartic creates an identical razor out of ice, which proudly attaches to his stomach the same way Oshawott did. One Bellsprout, watching the whole thing, ran out with excitement and asked to make a razor for it. The Pokémon of the forest are attracted to these accessories, which helps Beartic return to the wild Pokémon.

Pokémon should have custom appearances in the game

The idea of Pokémon decorating themselves is a very interesting idea. The game has added a mechanic called “Marks”, starting with Sword and Shield, which helps to make Pokémon more unique by giving them some rare titles that normally accompany a Pokémon when it is caught. and cannot be obtained in any other way. But what if these Marks show up on Pokémon as small accessories or maybe even physical attributes like spots?

An intuitive branding system will certainly prevent the customization mechanic from becoming overkill by limiting the number of options, but still provide enough for the Pokémon to be somewhat unique compared to other Pokémon of the same type that the player has. may encounter. Traces can be equipped and unequipped from the Pokémon’s status screen, so those who don’t like the look of the Mark can easily turn it off and have a normal-looking version. Think Pokémon GO best friend ribbons or simpler outfits like flower crowns, just to give an idea.

With the video game series increasing in levels of player customization since X and Y, that customization extending to Pokémon itself only makes sense. This was introduced in the Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee games allowing the player to dress up adorable Pokémon in a variety of costumes. While scaling to more than 1,000 Pokémon may not be feasible, a simple badge or branding system would be far more viable. Regardless of whether such a concept is included in the game or not, Pokémon Having a fashion sense is a great idea and has a lot of potential.
