On Monday, the official website for the play adapted from Gege Akutami’s manga, Jujutsu Kaisen, made an eye-catching announcement. Fans can expect the second phase of production to take place from December 2023 to January 2024 in both Hyogo and Tokyo.
This eagerly awaited play skillfully adapts the fascinating story lines of “The Goodwill Event in Kyoto” and “The Origin of Obedience”. Besides this interesting revelation, the production team revealed eye-catching images, introducing the cast for this upcoming project.

Taking on the role of Nobara Kugisaki, Nonoka Yamaguchi will replace Erika Toyohara, bringing her own unique flair to the character. The remaining cast will include talented individuals who appeared on stage in the first play, promising to continue the unique performances that have captivated audiences before.
Kensaku Kobayashi returned to direct the play, working from a script written by Kōhei Kiyasu. The first production was staged at The Galaxy Theater in Tennōzu, Tokyo in July 2022, then moved to Mielparque Hall Osaka that August.
Akutami began the manga’s journey in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018, with Shueisha releasing the 23rd compiled book volume on July 4. Viz Media handles technical publishing as well. digital and print, while Shueisha offers digital access through its MANGA Plus service.
The Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime premiered in October 2020, including 24 exciting episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime worldwide, offering English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German dubs.
In Japan, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime debuted in December 2021, followed by an English-subtitled release in the US. and Canada in March 2022.
The second season began on July 6, airing on MBS, TBS and 28 affiliated channels. Crunchyroll is broadcasting its second season across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States, including an English dub.

This second season is expected to run in two episodes, including the “Hidden Inventory/Early Death” arc (“Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu”) and the “Shibuya Incident” arc from Gege Akutami’s source material. The “Hidden Inventory/Early Death” arc ran from July 6 to August 3, with two compilation episodes airing on August 10 and 17. The “Shibuya Incident” arc began on August 31, promises an 18-episode journey.
