We are one step closer to controlling machines that we can control
One dream that sci-fi anime fans may have is to control a machine in an anime. A popular mech, other than the RX-78-2 GTA from Mobile Suit GTA, is the AV-98 Ingram from the Patlabor the Mobile Police series. Like Gundunda, a life-size version of Ingram was built and displayed throughout Japan. Unlike GTA, Patlabor the Mobile Police fans will soon be able to control Ingram's torso. Robot maker MOVeLOT revealed last Friday that Ingram will be launched in August this year with a ceremony taking place in mid-September. Although the video in the company's X/Twitter post suggests fans can sit in the cockpit and drive Ingram's body, but MOVeLOT has not confirmed this.

Like the RX-78F00Gundam at the Gunma Yokohama Factory, this could be an important occasion for the Patlabor the Mobile Police series. This is especially true if fans of the series can sit in the cockpit of the AV-98 Ingram and control the fuselage. Although a location for Ingram has not been decided, fans can experience Ingram's prototype at Robot Base Tokyo.
