The new short film is part of Kodansha's “Animehon” project, which turns picture books into commercials and short anime.
Kodansha launched a new project titled “Animehon” on Friday that aims to adapt Japanese picture books (“e-hon”) into promotional animations or web shorts. The first part of the project is a three-minute anime short adapted from the picture book series Harinezumi no Luchika (Luchika the Hedgehog) by writer Yūko Kanno and illustrator Yōko Kitami.
