For the titular heroine of Studio Ghibli's iconic classic, Kiki's Delivery Service (1989), her magical journey wouldn't be possible without her trusty broom. Now, Kiki fans once again have the chance to purchase a real-life version from Ghibli's official online store.
Donguri Sora recently reintroduced an anime-accurate replica of Kiki's broom to its extensive digital catalog. As seen below, the broom handle is crafted from light-colored bamboo wood, with Kiki's famous red bow tied in the middle. Additionally, the bristles that come into contact with the wood are covered in black cloth bearing Kiki's work insignia. Unlike regular brooms, the Kiki's broom is only about 900mm (or 35.4 inches) long, making it shorter but also more convenient for display purposes. According to the website description, it is designed to be placed on a windowsill or hung on a wall. Including tax, the current retail price is 5,500 yen (US$37.51).

Studio Ghibli releases Kiki's Delivery Service scent diffuser in exclusive quantities
A perfume inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's film Kiki's Delivery Service has just been reissued on the official Studio Ghibli store as a relaxing scent for the home.
Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service is a Near-Identical Copy of the Anime
Studio Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed Kiki's Delivery Service, adapted from Eiko Kadono's popular novel of the same name. In the worlds of both works, young witches-in-training are forced to leave home for an entire year. One moonlit night, 13-year-old Kiki sets out on her mother's broom with only her cat Jiji, a radio, and a shoulder bag filled with a few personal items. After flying all night, she finally lands in a bustling coastal town called Koriko Village. With flying being her only magical ability, Kiki decides to open a delivery service on her own. Even with her magic, some jobs prove to be much more difficult than others. Armed with ingenuity, resourcefulness, and determination, Kiki overcomes whatever challenges life throws at her. Notably, the film is slated to return to U.S. theaters this October as part of Studio Ghibli Fest 2024 — an annual theatrical showcase featuring the studio's most beloved works.
Due to its overwhelming popularity, Kiki's Delivery Service is one of the most prominent brands on Donguri Sora. Last month, the site also reissued a high-quality replica of Kiki's iconic delivery bag. The film is also one of the few Ghibli properties to be included in Donguri Closet's exclusive reed diffuser fragrance collection. Listed as “Kiki's Delivery Service Dried Flower Reed Diffuser Kiki and Tombo White Tea Scent,” this essential oil-based fragrance celebrates Kiki and her adorable friend Tombo—a major supporting character in the film. Accordingly, the bottle itself is decorated with watercolor-style artwork of Tombo chatting excitedly with Kiki as she works.
