The New York Library has announced its Best Books of 2023 for children, teens and adults. The list was published on November 21, 2023 by a team of dedicated librarians and staff who worked together to curate the list.
This annual roundup includes a variety of genres such as fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, poetry, and Children’s Books in Spanish, among others.
Notably, the Best Books for Young Adults list featured four manga titles among the 50 works selected. The manga title is:
Akane-banashi by Yuki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue Love in sight! by Uoyama Moon in a rainy night by Kuzushiro Summer Hikaru is dead by Mokumokuren
The committee responsible for curating the list of best books for teens includes Asuncion Cora and Elisa Garcia as co-chairs, along with Anita Duka, Parker Gaidimas, Olesia KojeKarenko, Ivy Kuhrman, Chelsey Masterson, Grace Rosa , Arielle Saber, Kimberly Schropp, Renee Scott, Zoe Smolen, Hannah Spratt, Atticus Sutcliffe, Paul Sylvester and Ricci Yuhico.
All recommended titles are in the Library’s catalog, and many are available in multiple formats, including e-books, audiobooks, and accessible versions.
