The official website for the television anime adaptation of Inori’s light novel series “I’m in Love with the Villainess” (Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijō) began streaming the main promotional video on Tuesday. The trailer offers a glimpse of the opening theme song “Raise Y/Our Hands!!” and the ending theme song “OC ~The Ultimate Combination~,” were both performed by the main cast, Yū Serizawa (Rae) and Karin Nanami (Claire).
Both theme songs will be included in a single set that will be released on November 15.

The series is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX at 12:30 a.m. JST on October 2 (i.e., October 3) before airing on other networks. Additionally, the anime will be streamed on d Anime Store and ABEMA. A preview screening of the first three episodes is scheduled for September 24 at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas.
The series stars Yū Serizawa as Rae Taylor and Karin Nanami as Claire Francois.

Hideaki Oba, known for his work on “Love of Kill” directs the upcoming anime adaptation under Platinum Vision. Ayumu Hisao, a versatile talent who participated in “Love of Kill” and “Devils’ Line,” serves as both writer and series script supervisor. Youko Satou, recognized for her contributions to “7SEEDS” and “Saiyuki Reload Blast”, skillfully converted the character designs of AONOSHIMO and Hanagata into animation form. Sound direction is Hajime Takakuwa, while Noriyuki Asakura and Usagi to Uma collaborated to compose the series’ engaging music.

Seven Seas Entertainment, known for its dedication to bringing engaging stories to English-speaking audiences, is set to release light novels. The plot opens when ordinary office worker Oohashi Rei suddenly awakens in the body of the main character of her favorite otome game, Revolution.
She is delighted when her first meeting is with none other than Claire Francois, the story’s central villain and Rei’s favorite character. With determination burning in his heart, Rei begins flirting with Claire, deviating from the game’s traditional male protagonist role. The question remains: how will the once villainous woman react to this unexpected flirtation?
Inori began this charming story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2018, and it has reached readers through digital volumes published by GL Bunko, starting in February 2019, ending with a fifth volume due in August 2021, all decorated with Hanagata’s evocative illustrations.

In an interesting subplot, Inori introduced “Heimin no Kuse ni Namaikina!” on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in May 2021, ending in October 2021.
