The live-action “One Piece” movie is currently the most expensive anime TV series ever made.
“One Piece” is adapted from the famous Japanese manga by Eiichiro Oda about the journey of Monkey D. Luffy – the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and his crew. The film was first announced on July 21, 2017 by the Editor-in-Chief of the popular manga weekly Shounen Jump – Hiroyuki Nakano to celebrate the manga’s 20th anniversary.
