Misty’s Pokémon Psyduck now comes in “life-size” plush toy form, looking as confused and adorable as audiences can expect from its countless anime and other media counterparts.
The plush is currently available for pre-order online at the Pokémon Center, with the life-sized Psyduck standing at approximately 2.5 feet tall and weighing 9 pounds, complete with the classic hands-on-head pose. It’s certainly a statement that has a “strong presence,” as the official Pokémon website description puts it. It costs 30,800 yen (about $207.91 USD) and is made to order. Online orders will be open until 11:59pm on February 19, 2024, after which the plush is expected to begin shipping after mid-July.

Despite its seemingly random powers, moments of Psyduck’s fighting prowess have contributed to memorable episodes, making it an iconic and widely loved Pokémon. Psyduck is also part of the main cast in the live-action Pokémon film Detective Pikachu.
Psyduck’s adorable forgetful nature is offset by its incredible strength. Its psychic powers are activated by severe headaches, hence its confused appearance. Whenever Psyduck gets a particularly strong headache, it becomes distressed and its psychic abilities are unleashed. The intensity of this power is proportional to the severity of the creature’s headache. In this way, Psyduck is a somewhat unstable Pokémon that has quite a bit of power potential.

When the official return of the life-sized Psyduck was announced on X, fans reacted with both excitement and disappointment. The last life-sized Psyduck plush toy to be purchased, available on the US Pokémon Center website, retails for $279.99 and quickly sold out, so fans who want the Pokémon Psyduck on their own will likely have to act quickly. Pre-sales of merchandise will end at 11:59 p.m. on February 19. The Pokémon anime is available to stream on various platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video.
