The official Twitter account of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara magazine announced on Friday that the television anime adaptation of Rasuko Ōkuma’s Hoshikuzu Telepath (Stardust Telepath) manga will premiere on October 9 on AT-X at 9 p.m. dark. JST. The series will then air on Tokyo MX at 10:00 p.m. JST, which later aired on other networks.
The story is about a shy girl named Umika who is afraid of talking to others and has difficulty making friends. One day, a transfer student named Yū appears. Turns out, she’s a (self-proclaimed) alien who can read other people’s emotions by touching them.
Kaori (Yuyushiki, The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬) is directing the anime at Studio Gokumi. Kaori and Tsuko Takahashi (Yuyushiki, Comic Girls) are responsible for writing the series’ script. Takahiro Sakai (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) is designing the characters and is also serving as animation director. Miku Itō’ performed the opening theme song “Ten to Sen” (Points and Lines). SoundOrion performed the ending theme song “Tentaizu”(Celestial Map).
The four-panel manga debuted in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara magazine in May 2019 and began serialization that July. Houbunsha published the manga’s third compilation volume in October 2022 and will publish the fourth volume on September 27.
