A giant Reddit chart compiled Crunchyroll's review data to rank every anime on the streaming site to date, revealing some surprising insights into the top 300.
Created by Reddit user arcii, the chart compiles user review data (over 13.5 million individual reviews) from all 1,832 anime series currently streaming on Crunchyroll in the United States. Arcii then ranked the series by number of reviews, average rating, and popularity (based on number of reviews) of each series compared to the top series, One Piece. The top 300 anime were spotlighted in a post that caused much debate among users, especially among the series in the top 10.

Top 10 most popular Anime on Crunchyroll, ranked by number of reviews

Although all of the anime in the top 10 are essentially household names in the media (and possibly to some non-anime fans as well), several Reddit users have expressed their disagreement. Shocked to see newer anime, especially Solo Leveling, which has only been out for almost three months, getting beat. far surpassing legendary anime like Hunter x Hunter (ranked 24th), Dragon Ball Z (ranked 96th) and FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (ranked 59th). In fact, most of the series in the top 50 out of 300 are relatively new, which can be attributed to the continued growth of the online community and the ability to rate currently running series higher; Attack on Titan and Naruto: Shippuden are the only two complete anime to make the top 10.

Some Reddit users also pointed out surprising titles making the top 300, including Rent-a-Girlfriend (ranked 31st), Bocchi the Rock! (ranked 65) and High School DxD (ranked 78), all ranked above the iconic Cowboy Bebop (ranked 121). More than a married couple, but not lovers, a fan favorite that premiered in 2022 and was never rated for a second season, is ranked 45. Among some Popular new ongoing series, Mashle: Magic and Muscles (ranked 18th) and The Apothecary Diaries (ranked 19th) both beat Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (ranked 21st).
However, it is important to note that when analyzing these rankings, viewership is not directly related to reviews and popular anime, including Sailor Moon, Bleach, Death Note, and One- Punch Man, among others, is not available on Crunchyroll in the US and is therefore not included in the list.
