Yong Yea, the new English voice actor for Kiryu in Sega’s Yakuza series, has revealed on Twitter that the upcoming Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name game will not have an English dub on the 9th launch date. November.
Instead, the dub will be included in a post-release patch announced at a later date.

Sega describes Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Cleared His Name as a story that follows Kazuma Kiryu, who operates under the codename “Joryu.” Once a legendary yakuza, he faked his death and remained anonymous to protect his family.
Now, he is pulled back into the conflict by a mysterious figure intent on exposing him. Thrilling side missions promise an epic showdown as you explore Sotenbori and Yokohama.
The game will release globally on November 9 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Kazuma Kiryu, a former Yakuza member, is the protagonist of the first six main Yakuza games, as well as the prequel to Yakuza 0. Yakuza: Like A Dragon stars Ichiban Kasuga and was released in the West in November 2020 for various platforms.

Additionally, Like a Dragon: Ishin! (a “rebuilt” version of Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!) launches February 21 for multiple platforms.
