The new version will launch worldwide
The X (formerly Twitter) account for Konami's Dance Dance Revolution games announced on Monday that their major game update called Dance Dance Revolution WORLD will launch on arcades on Monday. Wednesday, June 12 at 9 a.m. JST (June 11, 8 p.m. EDT). Konami aims to launch this version worldwide.

The new version of the website also launched on Monday and some sections are labeled as “coming soon.”
Dance Dance Revolution WORLD will support data transmission from Dance Dance Revolution A3 including dancer name, associated area, playback record (except Ghost, last play time and course playout results), status Unlock songs, set selected options, set weights, display calories on the game panel, and reward before playing song packs.
Konami released the original Dance Dance Revolution game in arcades in Japan in 1998. To celebrate the game's 25th anniversary, Konami teamed up with Zuiki Inc. and started a crowdfunding campaign for the Dance Dance Revolution Classic Mini unit on October 10 until January 26. The crowdfunding raised 81 million yen. Zuiki then announced on April 26 that they will publicly release the Dance Dance Revolution Classic Mini device on September 27.
