The twenty-third and final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season prompted the series’ renewal, which is not surprising considering the anime’s popularity. To celebrate the completion of season two and confirmation of season 3, Toho Animation released a teaser trailer for season 3 showcasing several manga panels from the upcoming Culling Game arc.
The new season will adapt the Culling Games arc, one that may feature more epic battles than the Shibuya Incident arc. Although there is no information other than confirmation of this season and the teaser trailer that was released, fans are still extremely happy to know that Gege Akutami’s hit manga will have another season.

Jujutsu Kaisen heads for another arc of violence
According to Jujutsu Kaisen’s official X account, a third season has been given the green light. Attracting millions of views within hours, the post went viral showing just how much anime is dominating the industry. The teaser trailer shows off the new main villains, Kamo Noritoshi, Choso, Itadori, Megumi and Yuta, with the plot description revealing that there will be one-on-one life-and-death battles involved. With Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori seemingly going head to head, the Culling Games arc will feature battles between enemies and allies, in a brutal tournament featuring some of the most hyped battles in the series.
There’s no current release date, but it’s easy to predict. Considering how the second season was released 2 years after the first, the third season will likely follow the same timeline at a minimum. Furthermore, Mappa is currently working on the Chainsaw Man movie, a second Hell’s Paradise movie and perhaps a third Vinland Saga movie, which could push the release date out even further. However, there is some good news. Since Jujutsu Kaisen is their biggest anime yet, production could start soon or even immediately and the third season could take priority over Mappa’s other series.
