While there, he meets the Demon Slayer’s Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, who is delighted to meet him and Nezuko. Mitsuri is also there waiting for her sword to be repaired, and she quickly gets a notification that it’s ready when she hangs out with the Kamado siblings. As Mitsuri prepares to leave to retrieve her sword, she whispers in Tanjiro’s ear about this secret weapon, encouraging him to find it while he waits in the village.

Finding a secret sword would solve his immediate problem of not having a sword, but is there any guarantee that this hidden weapon will be in a usable state?
Maybe this is some kind of challenge or challenge, exclusive to Tanjiro or to anyone looking for this secret weapon. It gives Tanjiro a goal to accomplish while in the Blacksmith’s Village other than waiting around, which is great, but he’ll deal with this on his own since only Nezuko is with him.
