A new PV trailer for the currently airing Chained Soldier television anime series has been released, which highlights the three members of Team 6 of the Demon Defense Force. The anime premiered on January 4, 2024.
The PV trailer highlights the voice actresses and personalities of Team 6 members Tenka Izumo, Yachiho Azuma and Sahara Wakasa, as well as the anime’s main ending theme “Chain”, performed by Maaya Uchida.

Gorou Kuji (Bungo to Alchemist assistant director) is directing the anime, with Junji Nishimura (Vlad Love) as main director, Hiroyuki Yoshii (Just Because!) as character designer, Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos) is the series’ writer and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (co-composer of Attack on Titan Final Season) is the composer. Seven Arcs is responsible for animation production for the series.

The anime is based on the dark fantasy action manga series written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura, which began serialization in Shueisha’s online magazine Shonen Jump+ on January 5, 2019. Fourteen tankoubon volumes were released. published as of October 2023, with the 15th volume due out on February 2, 2024. Yen Press publishes the manga in English.

HIDIVE is streaming Chained Soldier uncensored outside of Japan in select territories and describes the story as:
Two supernatural forces appear simultaneously on Earth: the entrance to another dimension called Mato and Peaches, resources that give unique abilities to women. From Mato comes Yomotsu Shuuki, dangerous monsters that leave destruction in their wake. The government’s anti-demon corps fights these creatures, recruiting women empowered by Peaches to face the terrible threat.
Yuuki Wakura watches these forces clash from afar, but when he suddenly encounters Yomotsu Shuuki, he is rescued by Kyouka Uzen, head of the Seventh Unit of the Demon Slayer Corps—and she sees something in him can turn the tide of the monster invasion. Yuki holds unique powers that help Peaches function more effectively, but he will have to become Kyoka’s willing slave to join the fight against Yomotsu Shuuki and save the world.
