Sanrio will released a new line of Cardcaptor Sakura socks online and in stores across Japan on September 9, 2023. The new line of socks features seven different pairs of socks featuring Sakura in various outfits from the series along with various Sanrio characters including including Hello Kitty, Cinnamonroll, Pompompurin, Kuromi and My Melody. An additional pair also features Kero wearing a floral hat with Corocorokuririn embedded in it.
The socks will be limited in quantity and each person can only wear one of each design. Pre-orders will open online at Avail stores and in retail stores on September 9 at 12:00 p.m. Japan time. There is currently no price listed for the upcoming sock line on the Avail store, but a listing will be available at the time of pre-order launch.
Sanrio previously released special merchandise for Cardcaptor Sakura in March 2023 at various stores across Japan. The partnership was released to celebrate the anime’s 25th anniversary and features iconic Sanrio characters including Pochacco and Keroppi. Sanrio is currently collaborating with Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku on Hatsune Miku and Cinnamonroll socks.
Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card is available to stream on Crunchyroll. A Clear Card anime sequel was announced in April 2023 and is currently being developed by Madhouse.
