According to the latest announcement from publisher 505 Games, the blockbuster Death Stranding will appear on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, starting in 2024.
According to initial expectations, the time was determined to be the end of 2023, but 505 Games said they needed a little more time to best prepare. Therefore, the Death Stranding release event on iPhone, iPad, and Mac will be postponed to 2024.
When the game is released, players can get the Death Stranding Director’s Cut for their phone, tablet, or Mac computer. iPad and Mac require an M1 chip or newer. With smartphones, users will need an iPhone 15 Pro (or future higher-end versions) to play Death Stranding. The list price of the game will be about 40 USD.
Previously, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village appeared on iPhone 15 Pro in early 2023, while Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Division Resurgence will appear on the latest iPhones in 2024. Technically, iPhone Apple’s 15 Pro (and Pro Max) is the only mobile device at the moment that can play AAA Console games. With the A17 Pro chip, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are truly a “giant” step forward for the mobile gaming industry – something that no phone device has been able to do before.
In other side news, Kojima Productions recently announced a deal with studio A24 for the Death Stranding movie. And they are also working on developing Death Stranding 2.
