Pan's development suggests a possible connection between Dragon Ball Super and GT, teasing future multiverse adventures.
The remaining story of Super Dragon Ball and the future of its manga is currently unknown due to its hiatus, but if it continues, there will be some lingering plot threads it can solve. Following the anime's Tournament of Power arc, the DBS manga released three exciting story arcs. Each installment develops the Dragon Ball universe further and even introduces some story elements that fans want to see expanded upon.
Fans, manga artists, and even world leaders continue to mourn the passing of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. His work has inspired countless people worldwide to improve themselves. While he served as writer and supervisor for Dragon Ball Super's manga, his successor, Toyotaro, worked extensively on the series as the manga's illustrator. After the tragic death of the legendary creator, The Dragon Ball Super manga has understandably been on hiatus, but it will continue.
The final DBS manga adaptation saw Gohan reach an incredible new level of power with his Beast Form. After doing so, he and Goku had a satisfying showdown in a chapter that would be the perfect conclusion to Dragon Ball Super's overarching story. However, if chapter #103 is the last chapter of the series then it's still there Several storylines remain unresolved.
Dominating a universe is no longer enough for Frieza
Dragon Ball Super is written by Akira Toriyama, illustrated by Toyotaro
Before the DBS manga adapted the Superhero arc from the 2022 film, the Granolah arc introduced several new characters, including two who wished for some of the Dragon Balls to become the universe's strongest warriors. While Goku and Vegeta were able to become allies with one of them, Granolah, the trio struggled greatly to overcome the other, Gas. However, after an epic battle, Frieza was the one who silenced Gas. Then he destroy Goku and Vegeta with a single powerful attack with their new Black Frieza formsonce again making the galactic tyrant a major threat.
Some of his actions demonstrate why Frieza is the most iconic anime villain, which makes the decision to spare Goku and Vegeta all the more interesting. After finding a place to train similar to Earth's Hyperbolic Time Chamber (or Spirit and Time Chamber in specific translations), Frieza trained for ten years in a short period of time and achieved takes the form of Black Frieza. After the emergence of Goku, Vegeta, and the Dragon Ball-enhanced Gas warrior, Frieza once again became the most powerful threat in the universe and was no longer satisfied with his idea of cosmic domination.
By achieving such incredible levels of power, the Dragon Ball Super sequel could seriously upset the balance of the universe by having Frieza kill Beerus, who is said to be the most powerful God of Destruction. After learning about other universes and the Omni-Kings' overwhelming power, Frieza's current goal seems to be to find a way to surpass them and dominate not only his universe but the entire multiverse.. A mission involving other Universes, including those not participating in the Tournament of Power.
More Dragon Ball universes, more Dragon Ball issues
While DBZ expanded the lore of the series by exploring the afterlife and introducing Kais, Dragon Ball Super expanded things further by revealing that Goku's universe is only one of eighteen. Grand Zeno, ruler of them all and the most powerful Dragon Ball character of all time, watches over them all and can erase anything from existence without effort. It's a feat they've accomplished in the past and that's why there are only 12 universes left now.
Dragon Ball Super could explore what motivated Zeno to take such a bold action and what the previous six universes did (if anything) to deserve being erased from existence. However, there are some mysteries the story could explore with universes that still exist, especially those that didn't participate in the epic Tournament of Power. Thanks to Goku, Zeno decides to proceed with the Global Tournament, which sees the losers wiped out. However, Universes one, five, eight, and twelve, considered much more advanced than the others, are exempt from participating..
When Universe 7 won the Tournament of Power, Android 17 wished for all universes to be restored after being erased. It is yet to be determined whether that includes the Universes 13 – 18 that were wiped out by Grand Zeno in the past.
The four universes do not necessarily participate in the Tournament of Power because according to Grand Zeno's scale, they have a high level of life and death. A scale measured not by level of power but by how much functional civilization Kai and the God of Destruction of the universe have spread. These The mysterious universe is inhabited by the most advanced and potentially powerful characters in the multiverse, with Universe 1 being the highest rated. Goku and his friends still don't have a reason to explore other potentially dangerous universes, but Dragon Ball GT does, which could be where the story goes next.
Pan's future and her possible journey through space
Gohan's daughter Pan had some great moments in the Superhero arc. Throughout the DBS storyline, she has grown from a mischievous baby to a three-year-old child training with Piccolo, her grandfather Goku's one-time greatest rival. Longtime fans of the franchise are well aware of the Dragon Ball GT series which featured an older version of Pan and many other interesting plot developments, like the Super Saiyan 4 transformation and the Black Star Dragon Balls.
Judging that Pan is ten years old at the beginning of the story Dragon Ball GT anime, it is safe to say that it takes place seven years after the Superhero arc of Dragon Ball Super. In that series, a disgruntled and aging Emperor Pilaf discovers the hidden Black Star Dragon Balls, which are considered more powerful than Earth's regular set. While being interrupted by Goku, he accidentally wishes for the Balls to make Goku young again, hoping it will make him easier to defeat. Unfortunately, the wish came true but left scarier consequences than what Goku and his friends had ever faced.
After making a wish with the Dark Star Dragon Balls, they scatter throughout the universe and must be reassembled after a year, or the Earth will explode. The first few installments of Dragon Ball GT deal with teenage Goku, Pan, and Trunks venturing into space. With the manga publisher, Shueisha, officially confirming that Dragon Ball GT fits within the franchise's timeline, fans could see elements of its story reappear or even be rewritten. do it again in the future.
Dragon Ball Super's story introduces a number of inconsistencies that don't yet fit into the DBGT timeline, such as the age of Pilaf's gang and Frieza's current status in-universe.
Possible new Dragon Ball plot remake GT or at least borrow fan-favorite elements thereby telling exciting new stories that could see the heroes exploring other universes. A story that sees the Dragon Balls become corrupted after too many unrealistic wishes are granted. The Superhero arc teases that Bulma keeps making frivolous wishes for the Dragon Balls. Instead of reintroducing GT's new set of mystical balls, a future arc could mirror GT by making the regular Dragon Balls corrupt, possibly triggering a multiverse hunt for the Dragon Balls to Explore future installments.

With future timelines, multiple universes, and growing tensions between Gods and Men, Dragon Ball's The plot has many points that can take place after chapter #103 of Dragon Ball Super. Another example is the multiverse war between gods and mortals in Dragon Ball's universe that fan theories have been hoping for. Newly introduced characters like Pan and Broly will likely have more important roles in the series in the future. Vegeta also promised the alternate universe's Saiyan Cabba that he would one day visit the other universe's Saiyan homeworld, a promise that fans have yet to see fulfilled.
There's still no indication whether the Dragon Ball Super manga will end after Akira Toriyama's passing or how much the upcoming anime, Dragon Ball Daima, will expand on the series. The legendary manga author has chosen his successor, Toyotaro, who has done an excellent job drawing DBS and creating new characters. However, let's say Toyotaro continues the series without a guide. In that case, there are many interesting places he can go Super Dragon Ballhis story and many fans will be excited to continue reading his work.
