There are many things that fans do not know Anya Forger from Spy x Family origin story, according to a new theory. Some viewers are speculating about Anya's past, and more specifically her name. Although Anya is the name Loid was given when he adopted her and the name she introduces herself to people by, Her real name could be something completely different.
A fan theory, posted by @msfujoshi23 on X, suggests that, based on a few panels of the manga where Anya's name is spelled differently, Her name may not actually be Anya. In the photo, her name is clearly written as “Ania” on a wooden plaque hanging on her bedroom door.
When Loid realized this, he informed Anya that her name was misspelled on the sign. Instead of immediately changing it, she seemed confused. Some fans interpreted Anya's confused reaction at this point as a sign that she was used to writing Ania, and was unfamiliar with her new name, Anya.

Another comic panel features Anya's handwriting on a math test from school. Her name is written as “Anya” on this document, but there is a faint dot over the “y” in her name. Every detail in a comic panel is intentional, so to many Spy x Family fans, this also seems to imply that perhaps she originally wrote Ania, realized her mistake, and changed it to Anya to reflect her current name. These two hints may not definitively prove that her name was ever Ania, but They add validity to the theory.
Anya's true origins are largely unknown at this point. It is unclear what her life was like before Loid adopted her and she met the Forgers, but there is some speculation that her life circumstances were quite sad and bleak in the past. As she is a psychic with mysterious powers, maybe she was testedThis could have led to her developing mind-reading abilities. According to this theory, it is even more plausible that her name was changed at some point before she joined the Forgers to hide her true identity and past.

This scene provides further evidence that Anya may be hiding her real name, as It seems impossible that her name cannot be found. All of these clues don't mean much individually, but taken together, it seems like Anya is hiding some big secrets from the rest of the Forgers, beyond her psychic abilities. Hopefully, the truth about this mystery has something to do with Spy x Family heroine, Anya Forgerwill soon come to light.
