Uzumaki
Release date: September 28 (Toonami, Max)
Adult Swim has one of the creepiest new anime releases we'll see this year. An anime adaptation of Junji Ito's classic manga Uzumaki has been in the works for the past few years. Every episode in Uzumaki is done in detail and is extremely scary.
Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World part 3
Release date: October 2 (Crunchyroll)
We've seen a lot of Isekai anime series return or debut this year so far, but Re:Zero is still something to look forward to.
Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- part 2 ended everything with a big cliffhanger for Subaru, Emilia and the others. We'll finally get to see what's going to happen next. Season 3 of the anime will be the biggest yet in the series with a lot of new enemies appearing and a lot of new battles that we will get to see.
Blue Box
Release date: October 3 (Netflix)
This year also saw several major Weekly Shonen Jump manga series launch anime adaptations, Blue Box being one of them. The anime is the perfect combination between a slow-burn romance and a sports movie.
The two central characters of this romance are just school kids who happen to fall in love, but are two very determined athletes. They become closer while pursuing their athletic dreams.
DAN DA DAN
Release date: October 3 (Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu)
If there's any series that has the potential to be a huge hit, it's Dan Da Dan. Yukinobu Tatsu's Dan Da Dan has been a hit on Shuesha's Jump+ app since its launch a few years ago and will now continue to win over a new wave of fans with an official anime adaptation.
Produced by Science Saru, this series combines everything you could want in a sci-fi action movie. There are aliens, there are monsters, etc. Dan Da Dan is going to be the wildest anime we've seen this year overall.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3
Release date: October 5 (Hulu)
After releasing its second season last summer, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is finally returning with part 3. Titled “The Conflict”, this third season will continue the final arc of Tite's Bleach manga Composed by Kubo. This episode will highlight some of the biggest battles of Ichigo Kurosaki and others, which fans have been waiting over a decade to see.
Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II

Sword Art Online launched its first anime spin-off series a few years ago and featured the game Gun Gale Online in its second season. But having a new story about a few friends simply playing games together, with no life or death involved makes for one of the best Sword Art Online viewing experiences ever. This was a breath of fresh air that showcased what the series does best and now it's finally back for another batch of episodes.
Ranma 1/2 will return with a new anime series!

Shogakukan celebrated their 100th anniversary by highlighting some of their greatest published works, and they gave a big spotlight to famous author Rumiko Takahashi. After the successful reboot of Urusei Yatsura that ended the anime series not long ago, Ranma 1/2 is the author's next series, which will return with a new perspective on the manga.
Dragon Ball Daima
Release date: October 11 (Crunchyroll)
The Dragon Ball series will launch an anime series with a completely new story that has never been seen in any previous Dragon Ball anime and manga series. The anime will bring a new version of Goku, in a new adventure in the Demon Realm.
This will be the final, fully canon Dragon Ball project with Toriyama's participation. That means fans can expect to see some big changes to the Dragon Ball universe. Dragon Ball Daima is part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the launch of the Dragon Ball manga by the late author Akira Toriyama, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Shangri-La Frontier part 2
Release date: October 13 (Crunchyroll)
The anime adaptation of Katarina's Shangri-La Frontier light novel series wrapped up its second first season earlier this year, and now it will return with more episodes in the Fall of the same year.
Season 2 will continue the unfinished story of season 1, while introducing many new characters and fascinating mysteries about the world of “Shangri-La Frontier”.
