EQUAL Dragon ball Continuing with Dragon Ball Super, the series is sure to deliver some disappointing villains. Even the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series weren’t completely free from the threats of disappointment. From Commander Red near the beginning of the series to the most recent villains, such as Gas in the Granolah arc, Dragon Ball has sometimes disappointed fans.
Dragon Ball Super itself has a tendency to show an over-reliance on its best villains. For example, Frieza could never last long as he was resurrected twice in Dragon Ball Super. The original Granolah arc promised to be one of the most exciting yet but it seems like it’s falling apart with formidable villains known as the Heeters. Once again, however, the series returns to Frieza, a Dragon Ball character who was supposed to die, who briefly reappears in a new form.
10 Red Commanders
Commander Red is the leader of the Red Ribbon Army and the main antagonist of the Red Ribbon Army Saga. However, despite his main role, he never actually faced off against Goku. Of course, this is because Officer Black killed him right before Goku arrived.
Red is the mastermind who often sends his troops to deal with Goku throughout the story. Although it was not by his hands, he was the cause of Bora’s death at the hands of Mercenary Tao, who was hired by Red. While Red threw all the obstacles in Goku’s way, the two of them never met. Red will never fight against Goku, however, more is expected of him in the final battle against him. Instead, Officer Black becomes the final opponent of one of Dragon Ball’s best installments.
9 Majin Buu
Majin Buu feels like a dry version of the previous two main villains in the series. Although he has some unique aspects, such as inspiration from the gods, he appears unimpressive. Majin Buu goes through the same pattern as previous villains, where he continually undergoes new transformations.
Even though transformations have become a big part of Dragon Ball, it often feels like Akira Toriyama could never decide what the final form he wanted Majin Buu to be, so he constantly change it. The battles are great, especially when the heroes fight Super Buu, Buu’s strongest form. However, everything seemed to fall apart when Majin Buu became weaker and less personable than before as Kid Buu, a villain that Goku actually killed in Dragon Ball.
8 Moro
Moro has a lot of background to his character and his initial setup is great. However, that’s where all the good things regarding Moro end. He serves as a bland villain who seems to be a throwback to previous main villains in the series.
While the goal of making Moro a pure evil character was successful, it left the character bland and uninteresting. Not every villain needs a fun backstory, but Moro’s position feels unsatisfying as one of those villains who turns evil just for the sake of it. For a series that lacks many unique and new villains, the prospect of Moro was initially exciting, until all of his abilities and scenes became complete replicas of those of the characters. Best villain in Dragon Ball.
7 Dabura
Dabura has always been a character robbed of potential and the biggest problem is that he is simply a villain meant to set up Majin Buu. However, Akira Toriyama made him extremely powerful at Cell level, however, many years have passed so that power is nothing to characters like Goku and Vegeta.
This has presented a present challenge to Gohan, whose power has not increased in all these years, but the war is not even close to being over. The Demon Kingdom was also a glimpsed idea and Dabura was not only the king of the kingdom but also its strongest warrior. This raises a lot of unanswered questions and Dabura’s ending feels disappointing. Nothing has been mentioned about the character or the Demon Realm in canon, which would have needed to come before the end of Dragon Ball Super.
6 Android
Androids are simply a mess in Cell Saga and that’s because editor Akira Toriyama wasn’t happy with the characters Toriyama created. The first Androids 19 and 20 were not designed well enough, so Toriyama retconned that Androids 18 and 17 were the true androids that Trunks had warned them about.
However, these robots weren’t scary enough and Toriyama had to come up with something scarier, leading to Cell. While Cell himself was awesome and saved the story, the handling of the previous androids was a huge disappointment, especially considering a pair of androids were supposed to be the real threat that Trunks warned about everybody. While this has created some great characters like one of the best duos in Dragon Ball, Androids 17 and 18, it’s annoying that the main villains are changed so many times.
5 Garlic Jr.
The Dead Zone is an okay movie at best, and it has no business coming back as extras. It created some of the worst plot twists in Dragon Ball Z, as Garlic Jr. has an entire section dedicated to himself after he devastated the Earth.
It’s an interesting idea for Garlic Jr. conquered Kami’s Lookout and became the evil ruler of Earth for a time. However, the interest ends there. Besides the rest of the scenes being very bad, Garlic Jr. not doing anything interesting or interesting. His fights aren’t good, and he’s stronger just because of it. And because he’s immortal, he’s eventually defeated in almost the same way as in the movies, ending these episodes as the worst subplots in Dragon Ball.
4 Offerers
The Heeters are the most recent villains of Dragon Ball Super, with Gas serving as the main antagonist of the Granolah arc. He alone provides a little more to the story, but the surrounding characters all feel bland. Gas hates Saiyans and wants to be strong and that’s simply his personality.
Granolah’s arc is a bit effective, as are Granolah’s motivations as he struggles to figure out whether his revenge is truly worth pursuing. There’s also Vegeta’s character development and his new Ultra Ego form, which is introduced in one of the best transformation scenes in Dragon Ball and makes him realize that he can’t turn himself into a demon. cold anymore. However, Gas steps in as an interesting obstacle that seems to become more and more powerful. Even the writer felt like he didn’t know how to deal with him, so he randomly had Frieza appear to destroy him and then leave.
Cooler’s return was an incredible disappointment, and this once epic Dragon Ball villain didn’t quite return as expected. He returns as a disgustingly large head creating all of his Meta-Cooler counterparts. This was a huge disappointment compared to his previous movie, The Return of Cooler, one of the best Dragon Ball movies.
The battles against the Meta-Cooler army alone were disappointing. It provides a nice scene that shows how hopeless the battle looks, but these Cooler versions feel bland and unimaginative. When Goku and Vegeta finally face off against the real Cooler, it’s not at all what one might expect. The final battle is terrible, and it’s clear that the film is simply a cash grab to use a popular character rather than providing a truly interesting follow-up film.
Maximum 2 cells
It seems pretty clear that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will revive Cell one way or another. Thankfully, this is not the real Cell but a new version that creates the most powerful android ever seen in Dragon Ball. However, bringing back one of the most interesting villains in the franchise is not something that should be done lightly.
Cell Max is a heartless giant with absolutely no personality or dialogue. There’s nothing interesting about the characters other than the animations and combat. This character only serves a parallel purpose to the Mobile Game, with Gohan unlocking his new transformation, Beast. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is fun with great action. However, the final battle feels like a bland rehash of Cell Games and steals some importance from the horrific battle of the past.
1 Bio-Broly
Broly, one of the few living Saiyans in Universe 7 of Dragon Ball Super, has had a total of four main films in the Dragon Ball franchise. He was easily the most popular non-canon character in the franchise for many years until he was made a main character in Dragon Ball Super Broly. However, not all of his films are loved.
While his first two were great, his third was a huge cash-in aimed at attracting viewers simply because it had Broly in the title. Broly is seen in a few scenes before he is swallowed by the strange syrup form, where he remains in his strangely deformed form for the rest of the film. He’s simply a powerful blob with no dialogue and it’s painful to watch him in action. There is no greater villain disgrace in the whole Dragon ball franchise, one of the best martial arts anime series.
