10 robberies
The sand hero, Snatch, was tasked with protecting Kai Chisaki, better known as Overhaul, after he was defeated by Deku. However, the League of Villains attacked the prison van because they had their own purposes with Chisaki before he was sent to prison. While Snatch was able to evade Shigaraki’s Decay thanks to the nature of his sand powers, he had a much harder time facing Dabi, whose flames quickly overwhelmed his sand shield . Snatch was killed by a fireball from Dabi, which allowed the villains to reach Chisaki and cut off his hand, robbing him of his own Quirk. Snatch’s death was especially tragic, as Dabi didn’t even remember killing him when Endeavor asked.
9 X-Little
The Eyegun hero, X-Less, is a member of the Hospital Raid team in the Paranormal Liberation War arc. X-Less is on the front lines along with Mirko, Crust, Present Mic and others. X-Less discovers the room where Shigaraki is recovering inside a tube, and sees the tube destroyed by Mirko and Present Mic, seemingly killing Shigaraki. X-Less was left alone to investigate the room and found a machine that produced a Quirk erasure potion, which he destroyed. However, a stray wire electrified Shigaraki and woke him up, surprising X-Less long enough for Shigaraki to kill him with Decay. If X-Less had been a little faster, Shigaraki might have died during the raid on the hospital, which would have prevented the unprecedented destruction from occurring.
8 native
Native is a pro hero who has struggled throughout the series. He first appeared in the Hero Killer Stain arc, where he was nearly killed by Stain before Ida intervened. He later reappears as part of the Hospital Raid team, although he is not at the top like X-Less. The native was last seen fighting against a Nomu, which viciously bit off his arm and was later only believed to be among the casualties, presumably dead because of his injuries. Native appears to be an honorable hero, as he tells Ida and the other students to run instead of fighting Stain to save him, volunteering to sacrifice himself so they can escape.
7 shells
The Shield Hero, Crust, is the 6th ranked hero on the Hero Rankings, so he is definitely a powerful and beloved hero in the world of the series, even if he doesn’t play much. role in the story of My Hero Academia. Crust was also a member of the Hospital Raid team and fought bravely against the Nomu. However, Shigaraki awakens and his wave of Decay begins to spread, forcing the heroes to flee. When it seemed like Eraser Head couldn’t get through, Crust stopped attacking the Nomu clinging to his leg, allowing Aizawa to escape. Crust was destroyed by Decay, but he died giving Eraser Head a thumbs up, proving that he was perfectly happy to sacrifice himself to save a hero. Given how valuable Aizawa’s Quirk would be, Crust certainly made the right move.
6 majestic
The magical hero, Majestic, is a member of the Villa Raid team in the Mystic Liberation War arc, and has also appeared previously as Momo’s Work-Study advisor. Everything went well until Gigantomachia woke up and began creating a series of destruction between himself and Shigaraki. Majestic worried first and foremost about the student heroes, and when Gigantomachia threatened them, he helped them escape using his Quirk, leaving himself vulnerable. Majestic successfully saves every student present, but it comes at the cost of his life, making Momo extremely upset. Majestic did everything a hero should do, truly worthy of the title.
5 Shirakumo Oboro
Oboro Shirakumo (Hero Name: Loud Cloud) is a name some fans may not recognize; instead, they may know him better as Kurogiri. Oboro was friends with Aizawa and Present Mic when they attended UA, and was tragically killed during a work session, crushed by rubble during a villain attack. His corpse somehow ended up in the possession of All for One, who used it as a base for the Nomu that would eventually become Kurogiri. Despite this, some remnants of Oboro seem to remain inside Kurogiri, still fighting for control of his own body after all these years. Such a relentless struggle is certainly the mark of a true hero.
4 Nana Shimura

3 Stars and Stripes
Star and Stripe is America’s #1 hero who went against orders to go to Japan when All Might put out a call for international help. She brought a squadron of fighters and encountered Shigaraki/All for One in the air on the way to Japan. After an epic battle, Star and Stripe unfortunately got too close to Shigaraki and were attacked by him. However, as she begins to fall apart, she uses the last of her strength to establish her Quirk, the New Order, to rebel against the other Quirks. Shigaraki ended up losing an unknown number of Quirks and being seriously injured after this action, giving the Japanese heroes a few more weeks to gather their forces and prepare for the final battle.
2 Mr. Night Eyes
Sir Nighteye had long been All Might’s companion, but the two went their separate ways when Sir Nighteye used his powers to peer into All Might’s future and witnessed his gruesome death. is waiting for you. Nighteye eventually took over Midoriya to study while working alongside Mirio Togata, and played a key role in the Shie Hassaikai raid. While fighting against Overhaul in an attempt to protect Eri and Mirio, Nighteye received a fatal blow when he was impaled by a thorn. Nighteye’s efforts were all aimed at protecting this little girl, and his sacrifice ultimately allowed Eri to live a normal life with Aizawa, meaning he died knowing that his mission was complete. .
1 midnight
Midnight is a teacher at UA as well as a pro hero. She was placed on the Villa Raid team, where she fought well until Gigantomachia was released. Knowing that her Quirk could neutralize Gigantomachia, she focused on him, but was unfortunately unaware of the other villains on his back, who launched fragments that knocked her unconscious and crush her. Midnight used her dying breath to text Momo and the other students, encouraging them to find a way to sedate Gigantomachia. Midnight’s sacrifice proved that even when she knew the end of the world was near, she remained focused on her mission and her advice to the children was crucial in taking down the giant villain.
While some of the deaths mentioned above had a greater impact than others, each of these heroes tragically died while on a mission with the intention of saving innocent lives. Their deaths prove that a hero’s words of courage and self-sacrifice are not just empty words, as villains claim. A true hero is willing to put himself in danger to uphold his beliefs and prevent evil from winning, no matter the cost. And wherever a hero falls, there is always another hero ready to pick up the torch and continue the fight. My Hero Academy‘s world is lucky to have heroes dedicated to fighting for it, as there is no telling how much worse things would be without these heroes.
