The story of Tempest Night follows a peasant girl, Eunha, as she is forced to become a reading assistant to a blind noble, Jihak. In Tempest Night Chapter 21Tempest Night explores the tension between the characters as they act to protect Eunha.
Eunha comes from a complicated family background. As a child, she entered prostitution with her older sister Yeong as they tried to escape their past and the loss of their parents.
Furthermore, Yeong was one of the best courtesans in Hibiscus. However, every noble had their eyes on Eunha, because of her beauty and spiritual power. They kept her off the register for a long time, but the market leaders wanted to sell her.
On the other hand, Master Yoon develops feelings for Eunha despite everyone calling her a lowlife. Initially, the market leader gives Yeong two options: sell her to Master Cho or register Eunha.
Soon, an unexpected turn of events leads Eunha to Master Jihak, who is looking for a reading companion to help him read Western languages. Likewise, Jihak needs constant medical care and the attention of a caregiver.
Despite her hesitation, Eunha decides to become the lord's assistant. She plans to save money to free her sister from the horrors of prostitution. In Tempest Night Chapter 21we see the development in the relationship between Eunha and Jihak.
While Eunha was sick, the lord took the time to take care of his assistant by sending her food, giving her medicine, and taking her to the bathroom. Such actions surprised her, as she remembered a passionate night with Jihak.
Eunha receives a letter from home revealing her sister's dangerous situation on Stormy Night!
The palace maid, Gari, gives Eunha a letter, given to her by the owner of a bookstore, Mr. Song. After reading the contents, she cannot contain her anger because her sister has been the target of violent attacks in the district.
Likewise, the letter reveals that Cho Youngho and the other lords plan to take Yeong away to make her their slave. They found an old man in critical condition near the town where her sister was publicly humiliated.
The story then shifts to Master Yoon taking Yeong by the hand and taking her to his palace. However, Yeong declares that rumors will spread if anyone sees them together.

Meanwhile, the master explains that his mother will handle the situation, and Yeong is free to leave town and live wherever she wants as a concubine. But Yeong knows that the master only cares about Eunha.
When Yeong finished speaking, Joon spoke up to the woman and declared, “Not only did you fail to keep Eunha safe by your side. You also doomed both of them by living as freeloaders in the first place.”
Since the beginning of Tempest Night, Joon has openly described his feelings for Eunha as he shelters and trains her to increase her chances of being adopted into a good family.
Joon's side becomes chaotic, and he wants to satisfy his needs from Yeong because she has the same face as his sister.
Yeong wants to replace Eunha and build a new life with Yoon while her sister serves Master Jihak!
Events in Tempest Night Chapter 21has opened the way for some possibilities. Joon wants to forget his first love with Yeong's help. He wants to keep her as a replacement to prevent Eunha from hurting her feelings.
Furthermore, Joon might want Yeong to offer her body to him in the next Chapter to keep her distance from Eunha. This implies that Joon hides his evil intentions under his sweet smile.
Although Joon wants to develop a relationship with Yeong, he comments that she has become a sinner because of her sister. Yeong does everything to protect Eunha from the evil eyes of the nobility.
The following chapters will explore a short story about Master Jihak and his journey to becoming the leader of the Shadow Warriors. Despite being blind, Jihak has an invincible aura, making him a dangerous ruler.
Likewise, Eunha has been contemplating a plan to meet her sister, which the upcoming release may explore further. With Jihak's assistance, the assistant is able to devise a way to keep her sister away from the hands of the tyrannical kings.
