A lucky Korok has a chance to find wealth, fame, and power when Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players take them on board a One Piece-inspired pirate ship.
Instagram account Daily Zelda Videos recently uploaded footage of a Tears of the Kingdom player using Ultrahand mechanics to create their own One Piece adventure. They put together objects, including fans, rockets, flying devices and boats, to create a flying pirate ship, attached Korok to the front, and captioned the post with the phrase “Go with the companions.” my Korok to find One Piece.” This is an example of multiplayer including anime references in a Nintendo game.
One Piece fans joke about Korok’s journey
The short clip makes the One Piece connection stronger by playing the band 5050’s song “Jungle P” on it. This song is the theme song for the anime’s ninth opening sequence, which accompanies episodes 326-372 of the Toei Animations series. Comments greatly appreciated the joke, with one user fittingly claiming that it took “2000 episodes of Korok before he reached his friend.”
The Koroks are a race of small creatures that can be found throughout the lands of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom and its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, that provide Korok seeds to those who can spot them. . However, they have suffered a lot of torture in the latest game, as the Ultrahand ability grants players the tools to attach them to other objects via their backpacks. This resulted in Koroks being crucified, rocketed into space, grilled on fire, and more. One player even used the game to recreate The Eclipse from Berserk, sacrificing a Korok to Godhand.
Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released on May 12, 2023, and has become one of the biggest launches in Nintendo’s history. It includes many fan-pleasing features, such as unique armor sets inspired by previous games and challenging temple puzzles.
