Hajimaru no Ao: Synduality: Roots, a new light novel that begins more than a century before the Synduality Noir anime and the upcoming Synduality Echo of Ada video game, went on sale in Japan on March 18 JST.
Synduality: Roots is about two childhood friends who survive the “Tears of the New Moon,” the 2099 event that saw most of humanity wiped out by a deadly rainstorm called “Blueschist,” and his son. their grandchildren, thereby recording the rebirth of human civilization in the world of Synduality. The book is written by a science fiction author Yuuya Takashima (Zegapain’s Entangled Girl spin-off, Space Battle Ship Yamato: Toumei-hen: Aquarius Algorithm) and published under the Tsogen SF Bunko label.

The previous Light Novel Synduality was
The multimedia project Synduality was revealed in September 2022, following an August 2022 trailer using the name Project Syn. Its universe features machines controlled by humans, AI creatures known as Magus, and monsters that threaten the remnants of humanity. Synduality Echo of Ada, a PvPvE exploitation shooter, takes place in the year 2222, after the fall of the underground city of Amasia. Synduality Noir moves to the year 2242 and follows the ambitious Drifter Kanata, who meets the amnesiac Magus Noir.
The first run of Synduality Noir premiered in July 2023. The second run began in January 2024. Hulu streams the anime in the United States while Disney+ streams it worldwide.
