Leviathan, the new anime from CGI studio ORANGE, has revealed its first trailer. The anime features music by Joe Hisaishi and is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2025. They previously shared a first look at the anime during this year's Anime Expo.

Qubic Pictures is producing and Christophe Ferreira is directing. Justin Leach and Daiki Sakurai are executive producers. All three previously worked on Eden. In addition to Joe Hisaishi on original songs, Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi are responsible for the music. The story is described:
In 1914, on the eve of war, a fugitive prince and a girl in disguise meet on a biotechnological airship, the HMS Leviathan, and change the course of history. Prince Aleksander, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, is on the run. Deryn Sharp is a civilian, disguised as a boy in the British Air Service. As World War I begins, Alek and Deryn's paths cross in the most unexpected way…setting them on a fantastical adventure around the world that will change both of their lives forever.
Leviathan is a 2009 novel written by Scott Westerfeld and illustrated by Keith Thompson. It is the first installment in the Leviathan trilogy, followed by sequels Behemoth and Goliath. It was named Best Young Adult Novel by the 2009 Aurealis Awards.
Studio ORANGE is known for their 3DCG work on Land of the Lustrous, BEASTARS, and TRIGUN: STAMPEDE. Joe Hisaishi is known for his work on Hayao Miyazaki's films as well as his work on Ni no Kuni.
