The last time people found out her truth. This time one person seems to have given up on himself.
We watched the video of her painful speech with Umika again, but this time she paid close attention to Matataki telling Haruno to keep recording because she believed in Umi-Kaichou. Deeply moved by this, our heroine knows it’s time to act. She had a master plan.
To their surprise, their two rockets launched more than twice as far as Matataki’s rocket. Actually, they were more confused than shocked. As Matataki said “Wow. You hit me good. Guess that’s it. Goodb-”
“She puts EVERYTHING on her line, including everyone’s hopes and dreams. Since she is usually the smartest person in the room, she only trusts her ability to solve any problem. Mainly because she is so afraid of disappointing others. I don’t know what happened in her past, but I guess TRAUMA based on performance.”
She was clear about the cause but the summary of her struggle was given.
I’ve seen more annoying tsunderes than Matataki and I criticized her for the almost unforgivable sin of making Umika cry twice. The ONLY reason I let it slide is because Umika needs it if she wants to become stronger, culminating in this powerful scene where she leads the group to find Matataki’s lost soul. In fact, our heroine almost lost her own soul when she used too much energy. Congratulations Umika. Matataki can finally use his grumpiness to demand justice without having to worry about being betrayed or abandoned for taking things too seriously.
Of all the Fall 2023 anime I liked, I will miss this one the most. The last episode pulled the classic “name of the show” which hurt me because it most likely means we won’t get a season 2. G-View next time will hurt me personally. I think most of you could guess my general thoughts on this show before I posted it.
