On Wednesday, Shueisha released an audiobook version of Aya Yajima’s novel SPY×FAMILY: Family Portrait, based on Tatsuya Endō’s popular SPY×FAMILY manga.
This audiobook marks the first publication of Shueisha’s Jump J-Books publication. The voices of Miyuri Shimabukuro and Ryohei Arai bring the novel to life. Viz Media has acquired the English license and plans to release it on December 26.

The novel follows five unique adventures with the beloved SPY x FAMILY characters, including Anya’s attempt to befriend her target on a camping trip, Yuri’s day off spent spending babysitter and Franky seek Loid’s help to win the heart of a blind opera singer.
The novel also explores moments such as family portraits and mysterious family observations.
The Japanese release of the novel took place in July 2021, and Yajima also wrote the novel adaptation of the anime SPY×FAMILY Code: White, released on the same day. The series, which presents an original story, is scheduled to premiere on Crunchyroll in North America in 2024.
Tatsuya Endō launched the SPY×FAMILY manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in March 2019, which later became available in English on MANGA Plus. Viz Media published the manga in print and on its app.
The first season of the anime adaptation premiered in April 2022, with Crunchyroll streaming both halves and the English dub. The second half debuted in Japan in October 2022 and Crunchyroll streamed the same.

The anime’s second season began on October 7. Additionally, the manga was adapted into a stage musical in March to May 2023.
