The first season of the Anime based on the toy line premieres in October 2022, the second season will premiere on October 6.
Spin Master confirmed to ANN on Friday that it has begun streaming the animated series PuniRunes on YouTube with English subtitles on September 5. The YouTube channel will add a new 12-minute episode daily.

The anime is based on Takara Tomy's PuniRunes toy line. Spin Master is releasing the toy line in the United States.
Unlike other digital pets you can pet, the PuniRunes toy also has a hole where you can put your finger to “pet” the soft creature inside. The anime follows the daily lives of PuniRunes—mysterious creatures who love to be pampered—and Yuka, a fourth-grader who loves soft, squishy things. (Puni-puni is a Japanese onomatopoeia that means soft and squishy.)
The first season aired on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka from October 2022 to March 2023.
Kunihiko Yuyama (Fairy Princess Minky Momo, Pokémon) is the chief director for the first season, and Kentaro Yamaguchi is directing OLM Digital. Gigaemon Ichikawa (Chikasugi Idol Akae-chan, The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made, A Galaxy Next Door) is in charge of the series scripts, while Sayuri Ichiishi (Pokémon, Tamagotchi!) is designing the characters. Nanahira is performing the theme song “Puni Puni PuniRunes Punix Version.”
PuniRunes Puni 2, the second season, will premiere on October 6 in Japan. The new cast includes Madoka Asahina as Tomorun and Kaori Ishihara as Yuniko/Yunirun. The main cast from the first season will return for the second season.
