Superheroes and fashion have collided more and more lately, but Spiderman word notes a piece of Pirate is a whole new level of awesome. An incredible cosplay by SpideyWu unites the worlds of surfers and pirates in the most amazing way. While most Spider-Man suits are simple and functional, this combination has some interesting points.
On Twitter, SpideyWu shared an amazing Spidey suit that blends anime and manga styles. Marvel’s friendly neighbor Spider-Man has been paired with Donquixote Doflamingo of the Donquixote Pirates. Easily recognizable by his pink outfit and feather decorations, Doflamingo is a villain who doesn’t appear in a battle without a great look. The cosplay also includes a Doflamingo belt, a feather cape, and scarlet striped pants. One of the smallest (but most interesting) details is the skull and crossbones on the costume’s gloves, which match the cuffs of Doffy’s jacket. Since the villain is topless, that aspect of the costume has to be slightly altered, as Spider-Man’s suit doesn’t allow that.
Fans need more Spider-Man and One Piece Crossover
Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has been delivering action at sea since 1997 and offering fans iconic characters with very distinctive looks. This best-selling series has been around for a long time, and it’s no surprise that fans of both comic books and Western comics want to bring the two worlds together. This cosplay uses a traditional Spider-Man suit, but adds a lot of detail that creates a One Piece overlay. The traditional Spider-Man eyes still have the same shape, but the color matches Doflamingo’s sunglasses. Ironically, his eyeglasses already feature Spider-Man’s eyes in the series, making the crossover very natural.
SpideyWu decided that placing Doflamingo’s emblem in the traditional place of the Spider-Man logo was a perfect move, as it maintained the physical integrity of both characters. The interface is extremely epic, but what stands out about it is the duality of the characters. Donquixote Doflamingo is a villain, while Spider-Man is a hero. Even wearing a symbiote suit, Marvel’s wall crawler is still able to circumvent its aggressive influence to stay true to himself. In contrast, Doffy was a terrifying villain in the Dressrosa arc, and he would have been even worse if he had Spider-Man’s abilities. He is fearsome, ruthless, and one of the Seven Lords of the Sea. His Devil Fruit ability (Ito Ito No Mi) allows him to control ropes, similar to Spider-Man’s web.
However, Doflamingo’s dictatorial tendencies and acts of genocide would make him the worst person to get the radioactive spider upgrade. This cosplay costume goes together Spiderman with a piece of Donquixote Doflamingo is amazing, but that also makes the villain even more terrifying than he is now.
