Kyoto Animation released new images and trailers for Sound! Anime Euphonium Season 3, with both promotional materials highlighting Mayu Kuroe, a euphonium player who will debut in the new season.
Sound! Euphonium Season 3 is slated to premiere in April 2024 and will be about “Kumiko’s Third Season.” Before that, Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest OVA, was released in theaters in Japan last month. The first season of the anime began airing in 2015.

Sound! Euphonium is inspired by the novel series published by Takarajimasha’s publisher Ayano Takedawhich began publication in 2013. Yen Press describes the first book as:
After a terrible disappointment at the All-Kyoto Concert Band Competition, music lost its appeal to Kumiko. But her first year at Kitauji High School is an opportunity for a fresh start. So when it came time to choose a club, she couldn’t resist rejoining the band – even though they simply sucked. Most previous Sounds! Euphonium Items, including Sounds! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest do Tatsuya Ishihara director. Ishihara assumes the role of director of Sound!
