Ya Boy Kongming! is a manga series written by Yuuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryou Ogawa. The manga was first serialized on Kodonsha’s Comic Days website and later in Weekly Young Magazine. This comic series has sold more than 2 million copies thanks to the author’s unique idea of combining a classic coming-of-age story with a quirky setting. The manga inspired an anime series airing in 2022 and a live-action TV series premiering September 2023 this year.
The manga series is licensed and published in English by Kodansha and is described as:
As a general of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming struggled all his life, facing countless battles that made him a ruler. He was a talented strategist. So, on his deathbed, he only wished to be reincarnated into a peaceful world… and transported straight to modern-day Tokyo! Can a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild rhythms and even wilder partisans!?
