It’s real autumn in the 41st episode of Soaring Skies! Pretty Cure, with leaves falling everywhere. There are plenty of fall activities to do, but this special episode focuses on Mashiro’s efforts with her picture books.
Mashiro is determined to win the award this time
As the leaves fall, Sora and his comrades engage in fall activities—including satisfying their autumn cravings. The main focus of this episode is on Mashiro, who is struggling to find ideas for another picture book contest.
Mashiro is going out whether she likes it or not
Apparently, the solution to Mashiro’s impasse is to drag her outside, give her some autumn leaves and then abandon her. They said they would collect leaves with Ellee, but there was absolutely no reason for them to go astray like they did here.
Kabaton seems to have integrated into society quite well
Here’s another plot twist involving Battamonda, because clearly we need to focus on the guy who could easily be human and not some weird pig that has somehow assimilated into society without changing any aspect of his appearance. Seriously, give us a story that focuses on Kabaton after his defeat, it seems like it would be much more interesting than anything involving Battamonda.
Some of the small moments were more interesting than the main plot of this episode, the appearance of Kabaton being one of them. The other appears after the regular Kyoborg battle.
Sky attacks directly
We have a rare case of a direct attack on a champion, in this case Sky attacks Skearhead. That clash led to an interesting exchange between the two. Clearly the Undergu Empire is doing what they do because the people they love want them to. Now that’s fascinating.
That little skirmish also seems to be setting up the next episode, as Sora seems a bit upset afterward.
Well, it’s an episode of Soaring Skies! Pretty Cure. That aside, perhaps we can continue with some properly good episodes – and the next one looks promising.
