Anime SHIBUYA♡HACHI celebrates the 100th birthday of loyal dog Hachiko
A website was opened on Tuesday to announce that the Shibuya City Tourism Association’s official mascot character SHIBUYA♡HACHI (pronounced Shibuya Love Hachi) will receive an anime adaptation of the same name. The anime will premiere in April on TV Tokyo.

The TV anime SHIBUYA♡HACHI is part of the city’s celebration of the 100th birthday of the city’s world-famous loyal dog Hachiko.
In the anime, HACHI watched over the city as the symbol of Shibuya Station’s loyal dog Hachiko statue. HACHI begins moving to present-day Shibuya, spending a comfortable and happy daily life with his cheerful friends.
