Anime Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote revealed its main trailer on Friday. Studio CONNECT is working on the animation for the film scheduled for release on April 10.

Hideki Tachibana is directing the anime with Keiichiro Uchi writing the script and Shoko Takimoto designing the characters. Miku Ito, who voices Yumiko, will also sing the opening song “Now On Air,” while Moe Toyota voices the other main character, Chika Watanabe. Ikumi Hasegawa and Nao Toyama also join the cast as Otome Sakuranamiki and Mekuru Yubisaki, respectively.
The anime is based on the light novel written by Ko Nigatsu and illustrated by Saba Mizorure. The series began publication in February 2020 by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint and currently has nine volumes in circulation. The series also announced today that volume 10 is scheduled to release on April 10 while volume 11 is scheduled to release in June this year. Umemi Makimoto’s manga adaptation began in 2020 with a total of three volumes.
The Seiyuu TV anime Radio no Uraomote will tell the story of Yuuhi Yuugure and Yasumi Utatane, two high school voice actresses who happen to be in the same class. Both are weekly radio hosts. As classmates and voice actors, they show listeners their great friendship! At least, on the surface. In fact, the quiet girl Chika and the gyaru Yumiko are complete opposites and they absolutely cannot stand each other. Chaos and insults erupted. On air, they are best friends. Where will this tumultuous relationship lead them?
